Ray was born and raised on a farm and ranch in the West. He served in the military during the Korean Era.

Gifted with an entrepreneural spirit, Ray has owned and sold several business. A commercial pilot, he served as Executive Vice President for a California corporation until his "retirement" in1984.

Ray has worked in the Film Industry for 30 years, doing stunt work, modeling, stage, commercials and feature movies. He built and successfully operated an old frontier movie town, has been elected to public ofice several times and during the past 10 years operated a cattle ranch in Oklahoma.

"Acting has always been a hobby with me. I have met some great people like Jock Mahoney,Clint Walker, Keenan Wynn, Will Hutchins, Dick Simmons, Peter Sherako and Montie Montana, Jr. They taught me a lot! I had my own traveling wild west gunfighter show for several years in California, Arizona and Texas. It's a fun business if you keep your day job and don't take things too seriously!"

Ray came to Silver City, New Mexico 2 years ago intending to "retire". He is now partner, actor and director in "Voices New Mexico Productions" and plays the starring roles in both "The New Mexico Weed Whacker Massacre" and "New Mexico Long Gun".
